Autópsia - Multisensory Design
This is a project I created for "Design for the Senses" course, in which we were asked to develop a single multisensory piece without focusing on any specific of the five senses.
I chose to create a poster for a ficticious film called "Autópsia" (Autopsy, in english), a thriller about a serial killer whose victims are analyzed by a forensic pathologist.
The poster is designed to stimulate the following senses:
- Sight: The poster is shocking, made to look like sewn human skin and the typography simulates dry blood.
- Touch: The poster would be hung at an average human height, making it touchable. It would be made of a type of fake leather with real sewings and hung by real chains.
- Smell: The poster is double-sided (both faces equal) and filled with synthetic foam soaked in formaldehyde (or something similar) to create a subtle scent.
The main goal was to achieve a shocking and unforgettable experience, even before people watch the film.
